If there's one topic that unites Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Reykjavík, it's a national team qualifier or the Stockholm derby. Nordic fans watch football with passion. In Nielsen's 2025 annual report, Sweden vs Denmark matches and the Premier League's biggest games topped Nordic TV ratings. Local Allsvenskan derbies regularly attract over half a million viewers.

In this guide I'll break down how IPTV lets you watch all these competitions — Allsvenskan, Eliteserien, Premier League, Champions League, Veikkausliiga, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga — from one subscription, in great quality. Delays, broadcast rights, availability: I'll explain everything.

Allsvenskan: where to watch legally

Rights to broadcast Allsvenskan in Sweden are split between two main players: C More Sport and TV4. C More Sport broadcasts most matches (usually 6-7 of 9 per round), while TV4 shows selected matches openly available, including those featuring AIK, IFK Göteborg, Hammarby, Malmö FF.

In IPTV both broadcasts are available. C More Sport 1, C More Sport 2, C More Sport 3, C More Hits and TV4 are all in the package. This means on a Saturday afternoon you can hop between four Allsvenskan matches simultaneously — something a standard C More Stream subscription doesn't allow.

Eliteserien Norway and Superettan Sweden

Eliteserien rights in Norway are with TV 2 Sport and Discovery+. Most matches available on TV 2 Sport 1 and 2, with selected Sundays on Discovery+. Standard IPTV gives you all matches via TV 2 Sport channels.

Superettan in Sweden (second division): Discovery+. Less popular than Allsvenskan but still 250-300k average viewers per match. Useful if you support a relegated/promoted team.

Champions League: the holy grail of the season

After the 2024 reform, the Champions League now has a "league" format with eight matches in the league phase. Rights in the Nordic region: Viaplay Sport primarily, with selected matches on TV4 Sport. This means on a single Tuesday evening, up to 8 Champions League matches may be broadcast simultaneously.

National teams: priority across the Nordics

Sweden national team matches are usually broadcast on TV4 and C More Sport. Denmark on TV2 Denmark. Norway on TV 2 Norway. Finland on YLE TV2. Iceland on RÚV. World Cup 2026 and Euro 2028 qualifiers are split among these broadcasters. Good news — they're widely available, but if you're abroad (Berlin, London, Dubai), only IPTV gives you access to Nordic transmissions.

Premier League: the holy grail

La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga

The other top European leagues:

• La Liga (Spain): TV4 Sport — all Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid matches
• Serie A (Italy): TV4 Sport — all Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma matches
• Bundesliga (Germany): Discovery+ Sport / Eurosport — all matches, particular interest in Sweden because of Swedish players abroad

This means with IPTV you have access to literally every match in the top 5 European leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1). In one weekend you could watch 30+ top league matches. The standard football fan can't watch that many, but for enthusiasts it's paradise.

NHL, hockey and other sports

Nordic fans don't live by football alone. Ice hockey — especially after Sweden, Finland and Denmark's strong showings — has huge viewership. World Championships, NHL playoffs, Champions Hockey League: Viaplay Sport has rights for most. C More Sport for SHL (Swedish Hockey League) and Liiga (Finnish Hockey League).

Formula 1: Viaplay Sport. MotoGP: Viaplay Sport. Tennis (the Bjorn Borg legacy lives on): Eurosport. NBA basketball: Viaplay Sport. Handball (massive in Denmark): TV 2 Sport.

All of this is available in one IPTV package. For multi-sport fans, this is unmatched value compared to traditional subscriptions, where you'd need C More (€60/month), Viaplay (€60/month), Discovery+ (€20/month) separately — about €140 total, vs. about €5.83/month on our yearly IPTV plan.

Broadcast quality: 4K, delay, sound

All IPTV sports channels are available in Full HD 1080p as standard. Selected big events — Champions League finals, World Cup matches, big Premier League games — also in 4K HDR. Delay vs satellite broadcast is 3-8 seconds — unnoticeable unless you have a second satellite TV right beside.

Sound: most channels have stereo 2.0. Some big events offer 5.1 surround if your audio system supports it. Commentary: always Swedish/Danish/Norwegian/Finnish for local broadcasts, original (English, Spanish, Italian) for foreign matches — if your app supports audio tracks.

Multistream during big events

My sports setup

For full transparency — this is how I personally organize sports viewing:

• Saturday afternoon: Allsvenskan on the main TV (C More Sport 1)
• Saturday evening: Premier League or La Liga (Viaplay Sport)
• Sunday afternoon: Allsvenskan (second match) plus Bundesliga (Discovery+)
• Tuesday/Wednesday: Champions League — multistream across channels
• Thursday: Europa League and Conference League

The subscription costs me €5.83/month on the yearly plan. Same as I paid for satellite five years ago, which only had TV4 and SVT Sport.

Summary
